Achieving Bloodsport Level re: Deep Linking

I just found this on Peter Sean Bradley's Lex Communis. He offers both an excellent outline of the recent Kelly v. Arriba case on deep linking as well as a great quote concerning my recent imbroglio with the L.A. Times:
More Like Mary, Less Like Martha has a post on the legality of internet linking. She links to Tech Law Advisor where IP attorney Kev[i]n Heller has some thoughts on the contractual aspects of IP protection. For Mr. Heller this has achieved a bloodsport level inasmuch as he has been told to eliminate deep links in his site by a voice mail from LA Times.
