Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Just finished reading Denise's most recent offering which pointed to a NYT article on females in the blogosphere...traditional media/old boys network still dominate giving way to women who once put their hearts into their weblogs now are talking about the issues... anyway, something that I've realized over the last several days and which this article confirmed.... despite the fact that I started this blog (after an extended stint in the sports parody world) with the full intention of creating a blawg that served the singular purpose of showing potential clients my knowledge in my self-appointed practice areas and avoiding altogether references to my personal life, see also The Trademark Blog (not to say his purpose is singular, but rather client driven, and in fact the inspiration for this particular blawg; also as the article says "men want to talk about anything but [their personal lives]"). I have found that blawging, for me, must also include an "inward focus" i.e. heart, and not just focus on the creation of a knowledge depository, since a huge part of this experience is the interaction with fellow blawgers, many of whom I now must read each day (see blogroll). So here I'll quote from Ernie the Attorney:
...it deserves to be said that the blogosphere is not about self-indulgent late-night scriveners tapping words into faceless void. It's about a community of people who share interests, information, and even business. And, even though I was happy gearing up for trial (I know I'm sick), it's good to be able to spend time again in the blogosphere. God help me, but I really like it in here.

So thanks Denise for also "making it possible for me to realize how much fun having a Web log could be" [stolen from Howard Bashman] and Happy Birthday, bgbg.
