DMCA Abuse

The Shifted Librarian discusses DMCA abuse via Dow Chemical's attempt to takedown the Yes-Men's parody website at the domain www.dow-chemical.com. The Yes-Men would have probably been on better grounds if they had used www.dow-chemical-sucks.com.
UPDATE: Dow's DMCA complaints to Yes-Men's ISP may cause shutdown of Artist's sites and ISP.

Jenny also informed us that we can now fill out our Settlement Fund claim against the music industry for their price fixing during the last century.

Creative Commons LicenseFinally, the Creative Commons licensing project launched enabling copyright holders to communicate how consumers may use their content without requiring the user to contact the author each and every time.
