Some thoughts for today
Before I discovered blogging, news aggregation, gigalaw daily news email and even fellow law bloggers, I had discovered Sabrina Pacifici's wonderful LLRX newstand by accident one day via the LLRX buzz newsletter. From the day I started my first full-time gig as a lawyer I dutifully checked the Newstand looking for a daily dose of technology, legal and google related news and everyday I found 6-10 articles and a very short concise statement of what the article was about, which also always proved very useful in assessing whether it was a must read.
However, as the days went by after December 6, 2002 I grew more and more concerned that Newstand would never be updated again. Like a junkie without his fix, I ravaged a multitude of services to try and match Sabrina's output. Fortunately, Sabrina has started a new news site at beSpacific.com and I can breathe easy again.
On a side note, when I started this blog I had no higher aspirations than providing occasional updates on cases of interest, links to interesting sights or maybe commentary on deep linking. However, as I've spent more time in both the blogosphere and blawg ring I've discovered many interesting sites, many just by exploring Denise's blogroll. As I've noted before, while The Trademark Blog, which I consider one of the finest law blogs on the internet, also I have a strong Intellectual Property bias, was the original inspiration for this blog, many have inspired it since - both in the materials it presents and how it presents those materials.
On a final note, I'd like to recognize what I feel is one of the most innovative and funny of the legal web logs: j-files; although run by a fully disclosed non-US-attorney, I enjoy seeing what he has to say with each new post, even if he were a "raving lunatic writing these lines from his gamma-ray proof bunker where [he] prepare[d] for the New World Order...."
