DMCA: how weak is your technological measure?

I have disabled right click functionality to this site. If you circumvent this technological measure that controls access to my underlying source code, then you will be in violation of the DMCA. Violators will be prosecuted beyond the intent of the law.

Would disabling right click functionality on a web site be sufficient to invoke the DMCA on behalf of Ernie's starving artists rather than simply rely on copyright law? Would this allow us to protect images on our website in perpetuity?
