Lawyers Use Metatags to Help Their Web Sites Pop Up on Internet Searches

ABA Journal ereport article on how Google Adwords, metatags and inbound links will drive traffic to your web site. [via beSpacific] Metatags, seriously? I mean -- I'm not going to remove mine, but by all reports they are dead.

Another thing that annoys me about these law firm branding and search engine optimization ("SEO") articles is that there is always a legal marketing consultant lurking who recommends hiring outsiders to handle firm marketing. Rather, these articles should highlight attorneys who also specialize in SEO and are current on marketing trends. One this provides some much needed exposure for those attorneys trying to advance in their careers. Two it saves the firm some serious consultant fees while also providing them with an attorney to handle document review and draft briefs in their downtime. I wonder where we could find someone like this?
