Spam fraud is now a felony in Virginia

"The law would be enforced against those who use fraudulent practices to send bulk e-mail to or from Virginia." Spam sent by fraud is made a felony under Virginia law [NYT] [via c|net]

Q: Does this mean that S*P*A*M passing through my aol account is subject to this law?
A: "The passage of e-mail through Virginia-based Internet service providers, Virginia Gov. Mark R. Warner said, gives state prosecutors the ability to reach the purveyors of spam in other states and jurisdictions."
