Litigation as Leads: Fairchase and American Settle

FareChase's software, known as a "screen-scraper," searches Web pages for information, copies it and formats it, and retransmits it to others; American had alleged that Farechase's use of fare information from American's Web site was unauthorized. Under the terms of the settlement, American will license FareChase's software and be granted special access to its Web site. [Dallas Business Journal] Background here.
