Lunch with Wellen

Just had a very nice lunch with Alex Wellen, the author of Barman (see below) today. Alex has been making pitstops all over the country promoting his book, and I was lucky enough to catch him while he was in NYC.

PRIOR POST: Just spent $23 on Barman
How can I not buy a book written by and about a second tier law school grad. I would definitely recommend it for anyone considering law school. It's scary how his depiction of the life of a second tier law school grad resonates with my own experience.

On page 51, Alex describes why he was interested in practicing IP law (it's what got me interested in Digital IP and thus tech law advisor rather than ip blog):
The web was streamlining people's ability to steal ideas ... copyrighted music, trademarked logos, and patented designs were just a point-and-click away. New intellectual property laws and legal quandaries were beginning to take shape. That interested me. (ed: my emphasis)
Gerald J. Russello has a review up on writ.
