Insurance for Bidding on Online Auctions

Problem: eBay does booming business but engenders a fear of fraud that an estimated 8 of every 10 online shoppers steer clear of it.

Remedy: Create an insurance plan to be paid for by participating ebay sellers wherein a shopper would be guaranteed up to $10,000 in coverage if a participating auction seller did not deliver advertised goods at the agreed-upon price. [NYT]
