Little kids watch TV; alert the media!

Since I posted a pic of my son I may as well mention how annoying the media coverage of this Kaiser report [pdf] about the growing number of tv viewers under the age of two and how they should be interacting with the natural world and how the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children under two not watch any television.

Humbug. It does seem a little Clockwork Orange at times to me, but for the most part the tubbies, wiggles, and baby einsteins help me to:

Calm him down enough to feed him his antacid; stop him from interacting so much with his environment so he'll stop burning carbs and gain some weight and, as this NYT article quotes, it gives us a little time to make dinner.
