Bono, Nicole Richie, and The F-Word

Julie Hilden says that Pacifica plus the Bono and Richie "fucking brilliant/fucking simple" FCC controversy "shows why it's time to get rid of broadcast indecency law forever. This area of law has always been a standing First Amendment violation, and its absurdity has only become more and more clear."

Update: FCC chairman Michael Powell wants to ban the f- word between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. on radio and broadcast television.
