Merry Happy Chrismukkah

On December 3rd, I discussed The OC and Chrismukkah. Apparently, there is now some guy who is asserting trademark rights in the term. If he in fact coined it then he may have had a claim. But he clearly registered the domain on Dec 04, 2003 as indicated in his whois records:
Chrismukkah.com is owned by Louis Gregory who is receptive to all licensing offers for the word "Chrismukkah", which is Trademarked.
He even had the gall to send a cease and desist asserting such rights to Chrismukkah.org:
First of all if you look them up on TESS, they do not even have a trademark filed. Secondly - you can't trademark a WORD like Chrismukkah especially when you got the domain on December 04, 2003 - after it aired on the O.C. which titled the episode, "The best Chrismukkah ever".
Chrismukkah.com is now owned by Ron Gompertz (a Reform Jew) of Livingston, Montana who got a write-up in the WSJ.
