New Law Shields Company Security Data
The Department of Homeland Security will publish rules tomorrow to carry out the Critical Infrastructure Information Act. The aim of the law is to get companies to share information on their weaknesses in everything from power plants to computer networks while protecting proprietary data and addressing potential legal liabilities. Critics contend however that any information a company provides under the law can't be used against it which could render the law meaningless.
