Lessig on himself, Eldred and piracy

Lawrence Lessig, professor of of Law at Stanford Law School, published two articles this past week that have been adapted from his forthcoming book Free Culture: How Big Media Uses Technology and the Law to Lock Down Culture and Control Creativity. A free online version of the book is also available for download, under a Creative Commons license.

In How I Lost the Big One Lessig butterfly effects his oral argument in Eldred [pdf] before the Supreme Court (you can juxtapose it with his original approach outlined here) and in Some Like It Hot he tells us that every major entertainment media: film, radio and cable have their origins in piracy.
