Who's censoring 'Why?'

amny (p.12) is reporting that Jadakiss' line "Why did Bush knock down the Twin Towers" (Why?, Kiss of Death, 2004) is being censored by MTV and other radio stations around the country because of its political content. However, according to Reuters UK the "Why?" video arrived at MTV without the lyric and other programmers say they received only the version that omitted the line -- in both the radio edit and the "clean" version. If that's the case, is the label self-censoring, is this a publicity ploy or a real case of censorship.

Alan Wolfe's article The New Pamphleteers, in the Sunday NYT makes me think that the Yonkers rapper may have spent some time with NYU media studies prof Mark Crispin Miller whose forthcoming Cruel and Unusual: Bush/Cheney's New World Order "dangles the possibility that the Bush-Cheney team took no action on intelligence warnings in the months leading up to 9/11 because it chose to let those horrors happen for its own political advantage."
