Nick Denton advocates the creation of a blogethics panel comprised of Calacanis and Jarvis to "introduce ethical guidelines to blog publishing."
Seems to me like you might need a lawyer on that panel if your dealing with such issues as photo copyright and paid text links (trademark issues).
Interestingly, Calacanis, who Denton points out has been a one man campaign to date rapping the knuckles of Fark, Paid Content and Gawker -- may have been inspired by one of my clients' sites who had to hit Jason with a stick over a bandwidth theft issue when he inline linked to one of their images.
