Do Not Cell is a hoax

Everyone is harassing me about questions about cell phones and the do not call registry lately. Well you can all rest assured that the "e-mail warn[ing] recipients that telemarketers will have new rights to call cell phones beginning Jan. 1, if people don't request anonymity by Wednesday" is a hoax.

On top of that and according to Andy Havens via Common Scold: "it is illegal to telemarket to phones where the called-party pays the bill."

If the telemarketers do ever get your number you can expect them to call you during nights and weekends to get around the law if you can't be bothered to register.
