Why isn't Microsoft supporting Millenium Edition?

Tom Mighell mentioned Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware in this week's Internet Legal Research Weekly; so I downloaded it for my desktop and it seemed to work fine. However, when I then downloaded it for my laptop running ME, I was told that it wasn't supported. How come Bill?

Because he wants more of your money.

Give Linux a try.
You won't need any anti-virus anything.

A good version (distro) for beginners is Mandrake.

Here is a good download site if you want to burn your own CDs.

Here's a good site with distro ratings.

Because it sucks. Fundamentally nobody should be using ME cause it's one of the most unstable OS' ever and if he supports it then he'd actually have to go fix the myriad of problems with it. Sucks for the people who actually use it but they should upgrade anyway. Or even downgrade, I'm convinced Win95 is better than ME...

Unfortunately for me thats what came with the laptop. I'll just have to back everything up and start over.

Thanks.
