yo Joisey

Yesterday I confessed to not reading bloglines for 5 months, but I realize that that's not entirely true. I have been opening the bloglines aggregator on occasion to check out New Jersey Family Law and New Jersey Law Blog. These are two great blogs on narrow topics that deserve more subscribers than bloglines indicates. If you are subject to personal or corporate jurisdiction in NJ, I highly recommend them.

Also, please email me if you're law blogging in the Third Circuit and not on my list.

Grand Rounds, Vol. 2 Issue 3

When I remember, I really enjoy reading reading Grand Rounds, which just celebrated its one year anniversary.

This week's just happens to to be a "meditation on symbiotic relationship between law and medicine. I mean, without medicine, what would lawyers do? And without lawyers? Well, probably some aspect of medicine would be worse off than it is now."

Google goes to Washington

It seems to me that I'd just be too perfect for this job:

It seems that policymaking and regulatory activity in Washington, D.C. affect Google and our users more every day. It’s important to be involved - to participate in the policy process and contribute to the debates that inform it. So we’ve opened up a shop there. The first member of our Washington team is Alan Davidson, a veteran thinker and advocate for issues we care about.

* Copyrights and fair use. Google believes in protecting copyrights while maintaining strong, viable fair use rights in this new digital age.

* Intermediary liability. As a search engine, Google crawls the Internet, gathering information everywhere we can find it. We’re a neutral tool that allows users to find information posted by others – like a continuously updated table of contents for the Internet.

Mr. McLaughlin, are you hiring?
