The role: Global Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Advertising
You will lead Google's efforts to build partnerships with trade associations, interest groups and non-profit organizations based in Washington D.C. Your job will be to manage our outreach to groups beyond the technology world and familiarize those groups with Google's mission, values and products. Working in concert with our D.C. policy team and consultants, you will identify priority constituencies and groups and build long-term alliances that can help broaden Google's appeal and achieve our policy goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead Google's outreach efforts to trade associations and interest groups in Washington D.C.
Help design, implement and maintain partnerships with high-priority groups.
Lead Google's work among the non-profit community.
Highlight Google through participation in trade shows and conferences.
Work with Google's PR team, seek positive media coverage of Google partnerships.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record (Post-graduate degree a plus).
At least 7 years of professional experience in communications, public affairs or Washington, DC outreach type role.
Ideal candidate would have direct experience working in communications/policy capacity with Washington, DC trade associations and interest groups.
Proven communicator with very strong oral presentation skills and capable of working calmly in high-stress environment.
Self starter with the capacity to design deals and partnerships.
