Trademark Paralegal

In this position, you will assist in a variety of projects concentrating on trademark, intellectual property and corporate law issues.

Trademark Requirements:
Responsibilities include keeping all trademark files; overseeing day-to-day communications with local counsel on both domestic and international trademark applications, registrations, oppositions; maintaining full trademark docket and monitor deadlines; assisting in pre-release clearance matters; overseeing all domain name files; assisting in anti-cybersquatting efforts; and gathering information from within the Company responsive to the requests of our intellectual property counsel.

Corporate Requirements:
Responsibilities include assisting with consolidation of subsidiaries; scheduling and documenting annual meetings of subsidiaries; filing SEC’s; drafting corporate resolutions and secretary certificates; and assembling materials for Board of Directors meetings.

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree/Certificate from and ABA approved paralegal program. Experience in corresponding with foreign counsel on foreign prosecution and litigation matters is necessary. Prior experience with IP docketing systems (Worldmark Plus & Crystal Reports) is desired. U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution experience as well as some litigation experience is desired. Familiarity with USPTO rules and procedures and USPTO e-filing is preferred. Strong researching, analytical, organizational, prioritizing, verbal and written communication skills are required. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential.
